The Food Bank has told us that it's VERY important that they know how many are participating because it can significantly impact the amount of food they're able to distribute. So PLEASE update your RSVP by THURSDAY so we can confirm our numbers and of course, please honor your commitment.
You need to contact them to volunteer!- Email Christine and tell her if you committed to being there-
WE CAN CAR POOL IF YOU TELL US RIGHT AWAY-THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY AND MEET GOOD HEARTED SINGLES!!!
Volunteers help to get food ready to be distributed to soup kitchens, food pantries, after-school programs, and all of the other 600+ places that feed people in need for free throughout the city. Projects typically involve sorting donations from food drives and grocery stores, repackaging bulk items into more useful portions, gleaning and boxing fresh produce, or stocking grocery shelves. ATTIRE: It's important to dress in layers, as the temperature in the warehouse is often cool, to wear casual/grubby clothes, and to wear comfortable (no open-toe) shoes. Anyone wearing sandals or any other shoe with an open toe will NOT be able to participate.
PARKING: Parking Lot is OK to use on weekends! Please see below for directions to our facility.
WHERE TO REPORT: Please report to the south side of the building, entering through the central pedestrian door. POTRERO HILL LOCATION
300 Connecticut at 18th Street
